When asked what aspect of the programme was the most useful "The whole process was excellent. The two aspects that was most useful was how to deal with a tender request – getting an understanding of the criteria around whether we should reply to a tender request has meant that we don’t waste unnecessary time allowing us to focus on respond with a high quality approach to the tenders that we are interested in.  Secondly the practical follow up session brought the theory into practice and provided a real life practical example of the changes we needed to make".

When asked if he would recommend the programme "Yes, I would indeed. The programme has definitely improved our capability in dealing with tenders and since the programme has been completed we have successfully tendered for work".

We at Keys and Monaghan "found it worthwhile, as it reinforced that we were doing the right things already– ie reading the questions carefully and answering the questions project specifically. We had been successful with a number of pre-quals just before the course, which bore this out."

When asked if he would recommend the programme..."Yes- particularly if you’re not being successful with what you have been submitting. We often have to assess pre-qual submissions from contractors applying for construction projects and that had given us a good insight of what is expected. Many of the submissions we receive are very poorly put together and simply don’t answer the questions".

When Sean Costelloe from SNC Engineering was asked h hhhhhhhas this programme lead to an improvement in your approach to tendering, he responded that it "did help in our approach to tendering, sparking discussions and improvements".

When asked w what aspect of the programme was most useful to you, he replied that "the most useful outcome was advice on meeting the buyers. Where we did this and took on board their suggestions,  we were more successful".

When Terry Fuller from Ulster Supported Employment Ltd was asked has this programme lead to an improvement in your approach to tendering, he responded that "on completion of the two day course we have formalised our approach to tendering and in particular we have become very careful at what tenders we feel appropriate, instead of a shotgun approach to tender for everything we now chose what tender to put the time and energy into".

When asked what aspect of the programme was most useful to you, he responded "the experience of both the trainers, combined with the understanding that tenders need to be worked at over a week or two and not left to the last minute. We also understand that it is wise to have a databank of answers like insurance details quality spec etc that are commonly asked for in most tenders".

When he was finally asked would you recommend this programme to others interested in tendering he noted that "the course was very hands on and not academic at all and yes I would confidently recommend the course to other small organisations".
